The first Pharoahs of the Nile Corridor were Cushites. The kingdom of Cush began about 3000 years before that of Egypt. In fact about 8000 BC, Cush had an advanced material civilization that included a very advanced astronomical system, creating of glass and pottery, building of great tombs and mounds, and other aspects of advanced culture.

While all Nubians are Cushites -- all Cushites are not Nubians. Nubians live in Northern Sudan, while Cushites live throughout Sudan and had at least five great kingdoms within Sudan during the time of Senusret. The world's first empire was the Zingh Empire. Both Egypt and Cush, Nok-Wagadu (prehistoric Ghana, Mali, Southern Coastal West Africa) Dafur-Sudan, and Mauritania were part of the prehistoric Zingh Empire (or Aquatic Civilization - see "African Presence in Early Asia,' edt. by Ivan Van Sertima, Runoko Rashidi.

The Cushites established a similar civilization in Meso-America from Mexico to Panama -- and excavations show that these Cushites were in Mexico and Central America about the time IT IS RECORDED THAT EMPEROR MECI arrived in Mexico in 8 ships with many of his people and provisions from West Africa.

Tarharka was one of the most important Pharaohs of Cush. During his reign, the Nubian-Cushi Empire stretched from South Sudan to Iraq. Tarharka was part of the Cushite Dynasty of Egypt approx 650 BC to 750 BC - as well as part of the powerstructure that dominated Egypt from about 1000 BC to 600 BC.

The Nubian-Cushites revived the culture of Egypt and were one of the most important old world civilizations to dominate much of the oceans (the Ethiopian Sea - Atlantic Ocean) and the Eastern Ethiopian Sea (Indian Ocean/Pacific). The Black Indo-Negroids of India who are genetically and physically as well as culturally and linguistically related to Africans, were called 'Eastern Ethiopians' by the Greeks. The Africans were called 'Western Ethiopians.'

The Khemites and Nubians were both sea travellers earlier than 3000 BC (the oldest boat in Africa - Nigeria dates to about 9000 - 10,000 BC and was found in a part of the prehistoric Aquatic Civilization - Sahara, West, East Africa.

Travel by papyrus reed, sewn plank, dug-out canoe, outrigger, lashed canoes and large ships occurred first among African Civilizations in North, West, East Africa East African Lakes Region and the Sahara. African boats were the first to sail from East Africa all the way to Melanesia, Australia and East Asia over 60,000 years ago.

It is by boat and possibly raft that the ancient people of Africa sailed to East Asia. It was also by boat that Africans travelled to Melanesia and Australia over 60,000 years ago.

One of the world's greatest civilization was the regional culture of Wagadu-Nok. It was originally part of a very ancient civilization based in the Sahara called the Aquatic Civilization that existed about 20,000 to 10,000 years ago.

Nok-Wagadu was located where Ghana was later situated. However, Nok-Wagadu included all of the Western half of the prehistoric Zingh Empire and Aquatic Civilization. Nok-Wagadu is so called because the ancient Nok civilization is the most recent ( 3000 BC to 500 AD ) of what was a continuation of a great West African civilization that was in full blossom about 3000 B.C. However, Wagadu-Nok existed before Ghana, which began about 1000 BC and continued untill about 1000 AD. Ghana changed only after infiltration from northern non-Negro people who had emerged and first began to move into the SOUTHERN SAHARA AND WEST AFRICA LOOKING FOR GOLD. This trade between the future invaders and distroyers of West African civilization in what was Ghana and Mali peaked after the 800's AD. However, trade between West Africans and Egyptians, Nubians and Phonecians is documented to have occurred as early as 600 B.C. to 450 B.C., as Herodotus mentions about the trips by the Carthaginians in 450 BC, and the Expedition sent by Pharaoh Nikau about 600 BC.

Trade between West Africans, Sahara Africans and the Americas dates back over 3000 years B.C.

The legend of Meci (who sailed to Meso-America in 8 ships in the year 3113 B.C. and introduced Egyptian/Cushite-type calendars to Meso-America) is connected to the great civilization of Nok-Wagadu. This large empire stretched from Cape Verde to Dafur IN THE EAST-- and FROM NORTHERN MALI TO CAMEROON IN THE SOUTH.
